History of the Event
The Competition began in 2003 with the hosting of the first event by the Durham Paramedic Association in Whitby, Ontario.
Over the last 8 years the event has grown tremendously. Interest and participation by both Paramedics and Sponsors has pushed this event to the level of a National Competition.
By popular demand we have created the National Paramedic Competition to replace the Durham Paramedic Association Skills Competition.
Paramedics of all levels have participated in the competition and take great pride in competing.
Our tested formula of practical and academic challenges throughout a one day event has been very popular.
Teams of 2 Paramedics compete and bring along 2 judges who officiate challenges in other categories.
The event opens with a pre-event meet & greet the night before and a gala awards dinner the evening of the Competition.
